Details
This graceful country estate lies north-east of Johannesburg, within an easy commute from town. It is a rare find, 104ha in size, with a stately manor house dating from the 1880s and two charming garden cottages for family or friends or renting out, all set in a rolling, landscaped garden. The estate is set on the grassy hills of the Highveld, and surrounded by neatly cultivated fields, and it is well kept, with ample outbuildings and neat paddocks, and the home is self-sufficient from an electricity and water perspective. The estate is currently tailored to relaxed country living and produces hay and carries a small herd of Bonsmara cattle. However, given its location, size and water supply, it is ideal for intensive farming, or residentialleisure development. This 104ha property North-east of Johannesburg is ideally placed for a business venture that requires some space but needs to be close to the metropoles. At 104ha it is spacious enough to accommodate almost any business venture that requires space. At its asking price it can be acquired at a fraction of the costm2 of comparable properties within city limits. It is situated within 40mins from either Johannesburg or Pretoria, and 20mins from OR Tambo International Airport. It consists of largely untouched flat highveld grassland with, predominantly, Red Hutton soil.It is self sufficient from the perspective of water supply. It is connected directly to ESKOM 3-phase power supply, but the homestead area is largely supplied from solar electricity. It has a stately old manor house dating from the 1880s, which can be used as office space or a residence. It has two charming garden cottages for staff or visitor accommodation. From a space, location and climate perspective, it is probably one of the best properties to ever come onto the market as a self-supporting equine center,
